B-roll Clips (V2) Workflow

The B-roll Clips workflow allows you to enhance your main video by inserting B-roll footage at AI-suggested moments. This guide covers the complete process from project creation to final render.


Overview

What it does: Analyzes your main video's transcript and suggests optimal points to insert B-roll clips, then renders the final composed video.

Best for: - Documentary production - Sermon enhancement - Educational content - Interview videos

Time required: 15-30 minutes (depending on video length)


Step 1: Create a New Project

  1. Click "New Project" from the dashboard
  2. Enter a descriptive project name
  3. Optionally add a project description
  4. Click "Create"

💡 Tip: Use descriptive names like "Q1 Marketing - Product Demo" for easy organization.


Step 2: Upload Main Video

Uploading Your Video

  1. Navigate to the project workspace
  2. Drag and drop your video file, or click to browse
  3. Wait for upload to complete

Step 3: Add Transcript

Upload Transcript

  1. Click "Upload Transcript"
  2. Select your SRT/VTT/TXT file
  3. The system parses and validates the file

⚠️ Warning: Ensure timestamps align with your video for accurate AI analysis.


Step 4: Add B-roll Source

You have two options for providing B-roll footage:

Option A: Upload Video File

  1. Click "Upload B-roll Video"
  2. Select your B-roll source video
  3. Wait for upload and processing

Option B: YouTube URL

  1. Click "Add YouTube URL"
  2. Paste the YouTube video URL
  3. The system downloads and processes the video

💡 Tip: YouTube sources work well for documentaries using archival or stock footage.


Step 5: Select Content Type

Choose the content type that best matches your project:

Documentary Mode

  • Optimized for informational content
  • Focuses on visual relevance to narration
  • Longer clip durations allowed

TV Show Mode

  • Faster pacing
  • Shorter clip segments
  • Entertainment-focused placement

Sermon Mode

  • Respectful of speaking rhythm
  • Contextual biblical/spiritual imagery
  • Avoids interrupting key points

Step 6: Run AI Analysis

Starting Analysis

  1. Click "Analyze" or "Start Analysis"
  2. AI processing begins

Step 7: Review Suggested Clips

After analysis, you'll see the Review Panel with AI suggestions.

Timeline View

The timeline displays: - Main video track - Suggested B-roll insertions (color-coded) - Timestamp markers - Clip duration indicators

Adjusting Clips

  1. Click on a clip suggestion
  2. Modify options:
  3. Change insertion time
  4. Trim clip start/end
  5. Select different clip from source
  6. Click "Save Changes"

Step 8: Clip Segment Editor

For precise control over clip timing:

Opening the Editor

  1. Select a clip on the timeline
  2. Click "Edit Segment"

  • Visual trimmer: Drag handles to set in/out points
  • Preview: Watch the trimmed segment
  • Duration display: See exact timing
  • Waveform view: Audio visualization

Step 9: Manual Markers (Optional)

If you want to manually specify insertion points:

Adding Markers

  1. Click "Add Marker" on timeline
  2. Set the timestamp
  3. Optionally assign a specific clip

Marker Mode Options

  • AI Suggestions Only: Use only AI-detected points
  • Manual Only: Use only your markers
  • Combined: Merge AI suggestions with your markers

Step 10: Render Final Video

Render Settings

Configure before rendering:

  • Resolution: 720p, 1080p, or 4K
  • Audio Ducking: Lower main audio during B-roll
  • Fade Transitions: Smooth transitions between clips
  • Output Format: MP4 (H.264)

Starting the Render

  1. Click "Render"
  2. Select Preview or Production
  3. Confirm settings
  4. Wait for processing

Download

Once complete: 1. Preview the rendered video 2. Click "Download" 3. File saves to your device
