Quick Start Guide

Get your first video produced in under 5 minutes. This guide walks you through the fastest path to creating content with VidStitch.

Option A: B-roll Clips (V2)

Time to complete: 10-15 minutes

What you need:

  • ✅ Main video file (MP4, MOV, or WebM)
  • ✅ Transcript file (SRT, VTT, or TXT)
  • ✅ B-roll source (upload video OR YouTube URL)

Steps:

  1. Create Project
  2. Click "New Project" from the dashboard
  3. Enter a project name

  4. Select "B-roll Clips" workflow

  5. Upload Main Video

  6. Drag and drop your main video

  7. Upload the corresponding transcript

  8. Add B-roll Source

  9. Choose: Upload video file OR Enter YouTube URL

  10. Select content type: Documentary, TV Show, or Sermon

  11. Run AI Analysis

  12. Click "Analyze" to start AI processing

  13. Wait for clip suggestions (1-3 minutes)

  14. Review & Adjust

  15. Review suggested clip placements on timeline

  16. Approve, reject, or adjust clips as needed

  17. Render

  18. Choose Preview (fast) or Production (high quality)
  19. Click "Render" and wait for completion
  20. Download your finished video

Option B: VidStitch AI

Time to complete: 5-10 minutes (plus processing time)

What you need:

  • ✅ SRT subtitle file with your script
  • ✅ Voiceover audio file (MP3 or WAV)

Steps:

  1. Start New Project
  2. Navigate to VidStitch AI from sidebar

  3. Click "Create New Video"

  4. Upload Files

  5. Upload your SRT transcription file

  6. Upload your voiceover audio

  7. Configure Settings

  8. Select content mode: Documentary or News
  9. Choose background style

  10. Add optional briefing context

  11. Start Processing

  12. Click "Generate Video"

  13. Monitor progress through stages:

    • Analyzing → Strategizing → Sourcing → Editing

  14. Download Result

  15. Once complete, preview your video
  16. Download the final MP4

Option C: V5 Story Maker

Time to complete: 5-10 minutes (plus processing time)

What you need:

  • ✅ YouTube video URL (source to clone)
  • ✅ SRT file with your new script
  • ✅ Voiceover audio file

Steps:

  1. Start Story Project
  2. Navigate to V5 Story Maker

  3. Enter the YouTube URL to clone

  4. Upload Your Content

  5. Upload SRT transcription

  6. Upload voiceover audio

  7. Configure Options

  8. Adjust source priority slider (50-90%)

  9. Set AI budget preferences

  10. Generate

  11. Click "Create Story"

  12. Wait for processing to complete

  13. Download

  14. Preview and download your recreated video
