Account Setup

This guide walks you through creating and configuring your VidStitch account.

Creating Your Account

Step 1: Sign Up

  1. Navigate to vidstitch.io
  2. Click "Sign Up" or "Get Started"
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Create a secure password
  5. Click "Create Account"

Step 2: Verify Email

  1. Check your inbox for a verification email
  2. Click the verification link
  3. You'll be redirected to the dashboard

💡 Tip: Check your spam folder if you don't see the verification email within a few minutes.

Dashboard Overview

After logging in, you'll see the main dashboard with:

  • VidStitch AI - Script-to-video workflow
  • V5 Story Maker - Clone videos from YouTube
  • Projects - B-roll Clips workflow
  • Settings - Account configuration

Quick Actions

  • Create new project
  • View recent projects
  • Access storage management

Understanding Your Quotas

Storage Quota

Your account includes cloud storage for: - Uploaded videos - Generated clips - Rendered outputs

Default Allocation: 5 GB

View your usage in Settings → Storage.

Render Quota

Daily limit on video renders to manage server resources.

Default Allocation: 5 renders per day

The counter resets at midnight UTC.

AI Credits

VidStitch AI and V5 Story Maker consume AI credits for: - Content analysis - Visual sourcing - Script processing

View your credit balance in the header or Settings.

Configuring Your Profile

Basic Information

  1. Navigate to Settings
  2. Update your profile:
  3. Display name
  4. Email preferences
  5. Notification settings

Security Settings

  • Change password
  • View active sessions
  • Enable two-factor authentication (if available)

Storage Management

Viewing Storage Usage

  1. Go to Settings → Storage
  2. View breakdown by category:
  3. Main videos
  4. Clips
  5. Rendered outputs
  6. Temporary files

Freeing Up Space

To reclaim storage: 1. Delete old projects you no longer need 2. Remove unused clips 3. Clean up temporary files 4. Delete rendered outputs after downloading

⚠️ Warning: Deleted files cannot be recovered. Download important files before deleting.

Project Organization

Naming Conventions

Use clear, descriptive project names: - ✅ "Q1 Marketing Video - Product Launch" - ✅ "Sunday Sermon - March 15 2024" - ❌ "test123" - ❌ "video"

Project Status

Projects move through these statuses: - Draft - Initial setup, not yet processed - Processing - AI analysis or rendering in progress - Ready - Clips extracted, ready for review - Completed - Final video rendered - Error - Something went wrong (check error message)

Best Practices

Before Starting a Project

  1. ✅ Ensure you have sufficient storage
  2. ✅ Check your render quota
  3. ✅ Prepare all required files
  4. ✅ Use supported file formats

File Preparation

  1. Videos: Convert to MP4 with H.264 codec
  2. Audio: Use MP3 at 128+ kbps
  3. Transcripts: Create accurate SRT files with timestamps

Workflow Tips

  1. Start with Preview renders to test
  2. Only use Production for final output
  3. Delete test projects to save storage
  4. Download completed videos promptly
